ARU Postgraduate Scholarships

This scholarship is automatically awarded to eligible international students starting a postgraduate course at ARU; no application is required

  • British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM: In partnership with the British Council, ARU offers scholarships to female students, studying any STEM subjects. This full scholarship covers tuition fees, airfare, a monthly living stipend, and a Career Development Bursary, with an additional financial allowance for applicants with children.
  • Alumni Scholarship: International students who have completed an ARU degree and want to pursue a postgraduate taught or research degree are eligible for a 20% discount on postgraduate taught courses or a 400 GBP discount on postgraduate research programs. This scholarship is not available for degree apprenticeships or distance learning courses.
  • Early Payment Discount: International students can receive a 1,000 GBP discount in their first year of study if they pay their tuition fees in full by the Friday before the start of teaching. This discount can be combined with other scholarships up to a total value of 4,000 GBP

  • Higher Award: Up to 7,000 GBP, with 4,000 GBP in the first year and 1,000 GBP in each subsequent year (up to three years), subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

No separate application is needed for an international undergraduate scholarship; it is automatically awarded if the eligibility criteria are met. This scholarship is not applicable for degree apprenticeships, foundation degrees, distance learning, or work-based degrees, and students applying to ARU College.
